the early years

However renowned Ans Verdijk is as an artist, whatever her contributions to art and art education, and however inspiring she has always been and continues to be to others, her childhood and youth have remained shrouded in mystery. Completely unjustly. This exhibition aims to change that.

Through a large number of objects, photographs, drawings, and documents, along with accompanying texts, visitors to the Museum Van Alle Tijden and Kunstruimte Alarm are presented with a richly varied picture of Ans Verdijk's formative years. The exhibition concludes in 1977, when Ans began her artistic career at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Opening on December 14 at 2 p.m. by Marieke Moorman, mayor of the municipality of Land van Cuijk.

Activities: January 11, 2 p.m., walk through Beugen in the footsteps of the young Ans Verdijk.
