    Boxmeers Weekblad, July 12, 1995:

    Exhibition Nylon at Alarm

BEUGEN - A final presentation by Ingrid van Bergen can be seen on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the guest studio and gallery Alarm at Oeffeltsweg 21 in Beugen.

According to Ingrid, nylon is a very cheap synthetic fabric that feels bad on the hands. She wants to upgrade this "poor" material by using it in her works of art, because the possibilities of nylon are versatile. What the final result will be is still a surprise. She has one month (from June 28 to July 21) to make objects from this material in isolation – spontaneously, colorfully and simply. The origins of exhibiting the objects took place in the guest studio and gallery of the artist initiative Alarm.

Ingrid van Bergen's work was also shown on Tuesday, July 11, in a new art and culture program from the AVRO, called Kunst te Kijk (Nederland 1; 8:30 PM), which was broadcast for the first time. The aim of this art program is to give people the opportunity to become extensively acquainted with modern art in the Netherlands. This first program came from Enschede, in which a number of Enschede artists were introduced to the public.

This also applies to Ingrid van Bergen, who showed one of her qualities: graphics.
