Jan Euwals
Christmas exhibition
In Jan Euwals' Christmas exhibition, the Christmas story is the starting point to tell about the wonder and fragility of birth and life. Behind each window of the Museum of All Times the viewer sees a different performance: viewing boxes together, a traditional video animation, an installation with wagon wheels
With the video animation the flight to Egypt can be experienced, as an archetype of man's attempt to protect vulnerable life.
In the lullaby sung a cappella by the artist - in the Limburg dialect to an old Jewish melody - one can feel the disarming vulnerability that the newborn evokes.
In this way the wonder of every new life appears behind every window.
Available from December 16, 2012 to February 5, 2013.
