From 12-9-24 to 9-11-24 Jeroen Huisman will be in Beugen continue working on the 3rd branch of a series of exhibitions which started this spring in Einbeck, Germany during the StadtpARTie festival, under the motto Handlungen der Unvorhersehbarkeit | Acts of unpredictability*. This title is a reference to how nature shapes and in seemingly inimitable evolutionary and geological processes builds on what already was. Jeroen responds to this fact with his work by developing organic ways of building. He sees himself as creator of virtual nature.

Fragile-looking, semi-transparent sculptures with a glassy texture are meticulously built up with thin layers or drops of thermoplastic bioplastic. Layer upon layer, drop upon drop, Jeroen ''draws'' manually with a 3D pen amorphous shapes, reminiscent of mushrooms or deep sea creatures. Often these are so-called illuminable sculptures, intended to let light play through it. The material then lights up like ice. The technique he developed is very time consuming and is used by some associated with lace making. With this work he wants to portray nature as the true celebration.

Jeroen Huisman is a multidisciplinary visual artist, innovative working in various media including painting, photography, installations and sculpture. His artistic journey began in the late 80s and
Over the years he has explored a wide range of themes, often focused on the tension between nature and technology.
In the Museum of All Times, which is located directly on the street, can be viewed all day, Jeroen will show a number of different sculptures exhibit. In the 'Alarm' space in the building behind the Museum new work will be created during the work period.
The studio will be open on October 4, 5, 6, 26 and 27 and the public can get to know existing work and what was new during the work period.

There will be a finissage on Saturday November 9th from 3:00 PM.
