    Mass and line

'Mass and Line' is a collaborative project by José Veugen and Albertien Y Volbeda. The work that will be on display from September 4 in the artist initiative ALARM was created there during 14 days prior to the opening.
Interest in each other's working methods and to achieve new impulses through collaboration are the reason for this project. Both artists start from their own working methods and materials. In almost every sculpture there is a meeting between clay and steel; mass and line. They take turns providing the impetus to which the other responds. This interaction produces fascinating and monumental works.

José Veugen makes drawings in space with steel, usually with the addition of another material (e.g. PVC).
Albertien Y Volbeda makes clay sculptures using the turntable, with the emphasis on the inside.
