Rudy Beerens †
Digital Hide Away
Rudy Beerens will exhibit between September 4 and November 14, 2021 in the Museum van Alle Tijden and Kunstruimte ALARM. The exhibition shows assemblages of objects that he brings together in his house, which is both a museum and a studio. In my own words, “I ensure that there is still space between the different things, so that I can keep an overview and still enjoy the collection. Nowadays I have started to look at things differently. I started playing with it, drawing with it, so to speak.” On a small work table he brings together his trouvailles to create small installations in which sea horses and other fascinating shapes are placed.
Beerens also shows drawings that have been burned into wood, so-called 'pyrographs'. The fiery looks of women in his life inspired him to create a series of portraits. In the exhibition, the women's portraits are presented together with the assemblages as an installation.
Opening September 12 at 3 p.m.
Open every Saturday from September 5 to November 14 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
